Here’s Casey celebrating his 6 months of being a Tripawd.

He’s about a year and a half and loves to swim.

Still adjusting and taking one day at a time, this boy shows us how to live life to the fullest……if you fall down, shake yourself off, jump back up and never stop wagging!!

imageCasey is about a year old, he was found in Eastern Washington after being hit by a car on December 1st, 2015.

He was taken to the Wenatchee Humane Society and on December 4th had his left front leg amputated.

We met Casey (then Valentino) on December 12th at a pet adoption event in Issaquah, WA. It was love at first sight. As I knelt in front of him, he laid his head on my shoulder…..I think he thought we’d be good together……I have my left forearm missing and wear a prosthetic limb!

We are now 7 weeks post op. Progress has been wonderful. A little therapy helped us move in the right direction, after 3 sessions Casey could balance with all 3 legs on a bosu ball.

Today was our first encounter with Lake Washington….he shone like the brightest star in the sky. Oh how he warmed our hearts as he leapt and pranced in the water.

Who needs 4 legs when you can have this much fun with 3!!
